Description
Operators struggled to update menus independently. Time-poor, non-technical restaurant partners defaulted to ChowNow's internal menu team. The editor was hard to navigate, visually dense, and lacked features to support growing menu complexity. Many restaurant operators didn’t feel comfortable editing their menus on their own.
This created a scalability bottleneck across the platform, so redesigning the menu editor was of urgent priority. I worked with another designer to conduct research and redesign the platform from scratch.
Impact
Improved the efficiency of menu specialist workflows by 30%.
Also led the consumer-facing checkout redesign efforts for Chownow, reducing payment error by 60%.
